BRC Participates in the 2025 Eastern Rowing Association Regatta (ERA)

The Brockville Rowing Club took 18 rowers to this year’s summer ERA Championship regatta in Montreal. The event took place at the Olympic Basin and was hosted by the Montreal Rowing Club/Club d’aviron de Montreal.

Rowers, coaches and parents battled through hot and humid temperatures, and then a final wind and rain storm on Sunday which resulted in the cancellation of the afternoon races.

Events competed were U19 Men’s Single, U19 Women’s Single, U19 Women’s 4, U19 Men’s Double, U17 Women’s Double, U17 Men’s Double, U17 Men’s Single and U17 Women’s Single. The U17 Women’s Quad and U17 Men’s Quad were unable to race due to the weather.

Notable finishes:

  1. U19 Men’s Double – 3rd Place (Liam McAllister and Ben Dewal)
  2. U17 Women’s Double – 5th Place (Rose Lafrance, Serena Bryan)
  3. U17 Men’s Double – 3rd Place (Rowan Jacobs, Sean Currie)
  4. U17 Men’s Single – 1st Place (Sean Currie)
  5. U17 Women’s Single – 4th Place (Rose Lafrance)

The Rowing Club is so proud of ALL the athletes and their performances over the weekend. The rowers demonstrated profound respect, professionalism and athleticism for which the club is best known.

The Club will compete in the RowOn (Ontario) Summer Championships in Welland on the July 19th weekend, followed by the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta in St. Catharines in August.
