ROWING PROGRAMS
Youth Rowing Programs
Our Youth Programs offer a comprehensive pathway for athletes who are new to the sport, have been through our Summer Camp/Bantam program, or have transitioned from another club. These programs run year-round and target different events and competitions depending on the time of year and program level.
The focus of our youth programs is to provide athletes aged U15, U17, and U19 with a rowing experience that aligns with Rowing Canada's Long-Term Athlete Development model (LTAD).

The Bantam Rowing Program is designed for kids who have been through our Summer Youth Camp and are interested in learning more about the sport of rowing and developing their rowing ability. This program creates a more competitive, yet fun and supportive environment for kids to learn about training.
This program typically runs at the end of our Summer Youth Camp, where interested rowers can join with the goal of competing as the BRC against other clubs in the area towards the end of summer/fall.
Ages: 12 - 14 (Grades 7 and 8).

The Development Rowing Program is designed for athletes who have gone through our Summer Camp and/or Bantam Program who are looking to get more involved in the sport. This program aims to further develop basic rowing competency on water and land, and foster a positive and enjoyable environment.
This program typically runs year round, and is the program that Bantam Rowers will transition into depending on the time of year.
Depending on the time of year, athletes with no experience in rowing can start here to learn, before transitioning into a competitive program.
